NEWS: Capital Honda Checks Out 2013 Honda Accord

The 2013 Honda Accord is a wonderful redesigned addition to the new Honda inventory. With upgrades that are strongly noticeable with technology, fuel efficiency, and overall style, we're very excited about the re-engineered classic.

How about we take a deep dive into some of this new technology. The top-tiered Accord Touring model comes standard with diode light-emitting headlamps, the first LED headlights on an Accord. Another Accord first is the front collision warning system. The cloud-based HondaLink system is available as well, and allows for hands-free use of audio and information services. A rear-view camera is also included.

There have been Consumer Reports that have forecasted that the reliability rating for the 2013 Accord will be even higher than normal. And with the inclusion of dual-zone climate control and 16-inch alloy wheels on base-level models, it's impressive inside and out.

The 2013 Accord is 3.5 inches shorter than the 2012 model. Horsepower has increased from 177 to 185 and it's even a few pounds lighter. There's also a noticeable increase in torque, which now comes in at 181 feet-pounds at 3,900 rpm.

Our readers and Honda enthusiasts will be happy to learn that it will retail starting at $22,470 with a four-cylinder engine and manual transmission. For more information or to keep up on all things Honda, stop by our Honda dealership in Okemos, and subscribe to our blog!
