2017 Honda Ridgeline

Honda is resurrecting the Ridgeline and we can't wait for it to hit the road. After debuting in 2005, Honda is taking another shot at the pickup segment and introducing the all-new, second generation Honda Ridgeline. As did the previous Ridgeline, the new truck will be closely related to the Pilot crossover and share the same body platform. However, this time around, the Ridgeline will not only offer all-wheel drive but also front-wheel drive.

In contrast to the original Ridgeline, which was somewhat awkward looking with buttressed C-pillars, a droopy rear end and a tailgate that seemed like it was one size too small, the completely redesigned 2017 Honda Ridgeline will look like a proper, four-door pickup. Compared to the Pilot, the front end of the Ridgeline is considerably more manly with a low front bumper giving it an appropriately wide and strong visage. Taste has prevailed with the design from front to back, with normal sized mirrors and simple tail lamps with a C-shaped illumination.

The 2017 Ridgeline will also offer three-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, push button start and the company's eight-inch Display Audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. Also available will be Honda's LaneWatch system. Returning for duty will be Honda's lockable in-bed trunk and the dual-action tailgate, which opens to the side or folds down. Like the Pilot, the Ridgeline will offer a raft of safety features, too, including lane-departure warning, road-departure mitigation, collision warning and avoidance systems, and lane-keeping assistance.
