Honda Brings Ferris Back

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller? We got to hand it to the marketing folks at Honda, bringing Ferris Bueller back, and in style we might add. The Japanese motor company successfully launched a viral campaign before the big game, and it had many products of the 80s excited to say the least. C-ostarring Matthew Broderick and the redesigned Honda CR-V, the short put a modern twist on the 80s classic Ferris Bueller Day's Off.

The new Honda CR-V ad begins with Matthew Broderick in a bathrobe (who we must say looks largely the same as he did twenty-some-odd years ago... just a little more salt in his hair) calling in sick to work, when in fact he is fit as a fiddle, and knows the day is just too good to waste. Like the original movie, Broderick spends the day parading around town (literally), going from roller coasters to a museum to tai chi on the beach, nearly getting caught by his boss every step of the way.

At the end of the day, Broderick returns from his daily adventures and hands off the keys of his CR-V to his valet who peels out in it with screeching tires. In the last clip, the valet is air born in the new Honda CR-V - ohhhh yeah.

This is not the first CR-V ad in which Honda has make it seem the perfect vehicle in to explore ones desired adventures - and how the Honda CR-V can help you do that. Whether you watched the ad on You Tube before the game or after, or saw it on TV, we think you'll agree they succeeded.
